Dr. Tor Jensen is the laboratory director of the Biomedical Research Center (BRC) at the Mills Breast Cancer Institute at Carle Hospital. As director, he oversees the operation of this Biosafety Level 2 laboratory space, operates the labs Fluorescence Activated Cell Sorter (FACS) and fosters interactions between clinicians and researchers. To expedite work at the BRC, he assists researchers in navigating the biosafety, project registration and IRB approval processes. In addition, he provides project support including the design and implantation of experiments, writing and submitting grant proposals and coordinating with Carle Hospital resources. Dr. Jensen also works with faculty to support new research initiatives including the Tumor Microenvironment Community.
